A Word from Our General Manager (From the Detroit Free Press, June 14, 2009):

106 Years ago Henry Ford founded a different kind of car company - The Ford Motor Company - based on the idea that an automobile should be affordable to everyone. And he truly put America on wheels.

50 Years ago my grandfather, Pat Milliken, opened the doors to a different kind of dealership - Pat Milliken Ford - based on the idea that taking care of the customer takes care of everything. Today my father and I operate one of the largest Ford dealerships in the nation and employ over 100 individuals who make customer satisfaction their top priority every day.

As our industry faces its greatest challenge in decades, people often ask what we think about the future of our business. We are proud to tell them why Ford is different.

We are proud that Ford builds vehicles with quality that not even Honda or Toyota can beat.

We are proud that Ford has more five-star safety ratings than any other automaker.

We are proud that the new Ford Fusion is the most fuel-efficient midsize sedan in America, with the Fusion Hybrid getting 41 MPG city.

We are proud that the Ford F-150 was recently named the 2009 Motor Trend Truck of the Year.

We are excited that Ford is about to introduce the new 2010 Taurus with the available EcoBoost V6 engine which uses direct injection and twin turbochargers to create V8 power with V6 efficiency.

We are excited that less than a year from now Ford will introduce the fun-to-drive and extremely fuel-efficient Ford Fiesta, which is already getting great reviews.

And we are excited that in 2010 Ford will start rolling out electric vehicles.

At Pat Milliken Ford we are putting our money where our mouth is.
